The Airbus A320 Simulator project has been something that I've been thinking every now and then for quite some time. After I built the CNC machine suddenly quite many new interesting options became available: I could make mill and engrave panels and components and isolation mill PCBs. Usually I prefer to get projects done as fast as possible, but with this project I'm more interested in doing things myself from the ground up. Hence I'm not in a hurry. Currently I'm experimenting with various phases of cockpit equipment production.
Before I had the CNC, I tried starting out by making the MCDU, however not surprisingly that was pretty impossible. After I had the CNC I ventured to making the FCU. But I was not satisfied with the results I was getting and decided to put it on the back-burner and focus on something slightly less complicated.
